A long, long time ago,
In a forest so green,
Lived a goddess named Artemis—
So quick and serene!

She carried a bow,
With arrows so bright,
She roamed through the woods,
By the moon’s silver light.

With deer by her side,
And her hounds in a pack,
She guarded the wild,
And kept danger back.

The goddess of hunting,
Of the moon and the trees,
She ran like the wind,
As fast as the breeze!

Her silver crown sparkled,
Her spirit so free,
The protector of animals,
And all we can see.

So when the moon glows,
And the stars are alight,
Think of Artemis,
Running through the night!
